It takes me HOURS to write a decent DBQ for AP Euro. (About 4 or 5 hours, if not more.) With a “decent” DBQ, I wouldn’t even get full credit, because something always gets counted off. I don’t get the “groupings” that we’re supposed to use, so my thesis statement is rarely the type of thesis statement that my teacher is looking for. (Me: “What? Imperialism isn’t a motivating factor?” Teacher: “No, no. It’s not.”) And the “POV’s”… don’t even get me started.

I’m not sure how I can write a full DBQ in 60 minutes by May.

If you’ve ever taken AP english language it’s very much like that. (APUSH dbq’s are SO much easier) but i’ve never taken AP euro

When you write a DBQ take this into consideration

“Everything is an argument”

The whole point of the DBQ is to use historical information + inferences from the Docs to prove yourself write with whatever you want to say.

“Imperialism isn’t a motivating factor.” It’s not. It’s what you reap from imperialism… So if there happens to be a document explaining how they got rich because they invaded here… yeah that could be an argument.

To do a POV you need to just remember that everything is an argument. If you heard something from (person of interest) that would make you know that you’re right put it.

I also hate them I’m in my first ap course apwh and I hate them but I <3 comp essays and ccot essays.Which is in a way reverse logic in my course.
