Who/How to address wait-list follow-up letter

I wrote a long message to the admissions committee updating them on myself and to renew my interest in CMU, as I was put on the priority wait-list. But, who should I direct the email to, and which email should I send to? Also, should I type everything up directly into the body of the email, or should I make an official document and attach that?

Thanks.

If you ask me, I say you should just send an email to the admissions committee through their admissions office. They’re the one who have all your files, so they’ll should gladly add a letter of intent into your application for consideration.

Also, just my personal opinion, but I think that mail or an attachment would work best, b/c you get to format the letter the way you want before you send it.

I mailed mine along with my priority wait-list confirmation page.

Same, I faxed mine along with my waitlist acceptance letter.

wrong thread post. Forgiveness plz.

SpacePope, I’m sorry about your house burning down and I hope you and your family get settled elsewhere quickly.

As to the follow up letter, I would contact CMU (and all the schools where you applied) and let them know how to contact you. Does your family have a PO Box or a temporary mailing address? I would recommend letting the schools know how they can send you snail mail.
