en guarde / LOLZbabe: Surprised at Choate, generally just SSAT’s. But my son took SAT’s, and did CTY, so we attached the scores/certificates anyway. He got in, not certain if it helped, BUT it can’t hurt you. So attach either or both if you have them.

And yes, if your application is complete, you have ‘slept on it’ and are comfortable, then send it in now. The timing won’t matter much, but no reason not to get it off.

ANSWERS ANSWERS ANSWERS- lol there seems to be a high demand. If anyone else on this thread could tell us how it is at thes schools it would be very much appreciated.

Agreeing with Rad-in-Plaid!!! We want answers!!! lol.

I would be very happy if you could tell me how the workload is at middlesex? Is the campus really pretty? (for anyone who has gone there for interviews or goes there) Are the people nice? Is there a sense of coomunity?

Words of advice for all of you applying to PA…

Don’t stress about the SSAT’s. They have very little impact. The average SSAT score at Andover is 94 I think, but I have a friend that got 57% and another that got 70%, and I got 82% and 86%.

Anyways, try to stay calm! I took the SSAt for the first time with a 103 fever. If can do it, anyone can!

I am surprised that you talk about SSAT scores with your friends, benevolent. I suspect that my daughter (a current PA lower) doesn’t know the SSATs of a single other student. I don’t think she even remembers her own! Still it’s interesting to hear the anecdotal range.

Then there got to be a lot of 99’s to make the average to be 94%. In all seriousness, if SSAT is something used to verify/confirm/strengthen your academic ability as shown in your grades etc., in an applicant pool like this, a SSAT score lower than 85% is not helping you. You need something else (teachers rec, for example) for that purpose.

We were just chilling at a freshman girls dorms and we were talking about what math we were taking. That somehow lead to what we got on SSAT math and SSAT total. Out of like 12 people, only 3 or 4 remembered, so yah…

I’m applying to Andover and Milton for 9th grade. But, I kind of only want to go to Andover because it seems like a perfect fit for me (but really hard to get in). I’m only applying to Milton for my other ssat free score slot. If I don’t get in Andover, I’ll probably stay at my public school because it is one of the best for public in the country. But maybe I’ll go to Milton if I can get signifigant FA. I mean I think Milton is an amazing school, but I don’t think it fits for me.

Last year when I took the lower level, I got 99 in both verbal, but 85 in math. Do you think that’s ok? I worked through the math section of an SSAT book, but I’m worried. I’m applying to mostly HADES. BUt I know I’ll have good recs (my teachers told me) and I got all As/A+s last year.

ep, well, my sister told me not to apply and i’m already applying to deerfield to spite her so i thought 2 schools she didn’t like would be a bit much.

That’s okay I have a nephew at Andover, but his brother had a tour and interview at St. Paul’s yesterday (and he absolutely loved it, esp the atmosphere and humanities). And I had a brother at Exeter. Just don’t let your sister make too many decisions for you.

she was just warned against it is all. but she also really wants me to go to exeter so shes also biased. it was actually my first choice for a while, but i’ve forgotten about it lately

I still want to go to Andover, but now I’m thinking about changing my second choice from Milton to Exeter since I heard it’s similar to Andover. What does everyone else think?
