Who is planning to ATTEND UCSC?

I got accepted and will be attending UCSC this fall as. Transfer. It was actually my first choice mainly because of the BME Major and the different area. I’m coming from Orange County and I rejected UCSB and UCR to go to UCSC. I lived in northern Cali once for a year and loved the people up there versus the people down here. I think it’s a matter of opinion but I honestly think people shouldn’t be thinking they are stuck if they got into only UCSC and not other schools. In my opinion, I’m very lucky to be going there! Plus guys, if you feel you are stuck, then go to community and go to the school you want to go to later. Since UCSC was my first choice, I would hate to keep running into people there that felt like they had to come there. I find northern Cali to be way more interesting but that’s a matter of opinion! Go to the school you want to go to people : )

^This.

I grew up in southern california and moved up to San Francisco my freshman year of college. I LOVE the people in northern california and am super excited to be going to UCSC. I kind of wonder if I should’ve just gone here freshman year, but either way. Super excited to transfer!

I feel like I’ll fit in just right. xD

Flixxy- sometimes I wish I would have moved there as a freshman too but I think attending community for a bit was good because I got to take an array of different classes without paying very much at all. In all, I’m glad I’m moving up there, I’m glad I picked UCSC, and I’m happy I’m a transfer! This fall is gonna rock!

how often do hookups occur?? in college 9 or crown or cowell or stevenson???

“Hookups” won’t just magically occur because you attend an university or based on your college affiliation.

If you think like that, you definitely won’t be seeing any action next year.

I’m fairly convinced ivers0n is a ■■■■■ or he’s been watching too many terrible college movies.

Hahahahahahaha I think I agree with you. It’s unbelievable. I’m almost starting to imagine people hooking up at every surface on campus becausevof his vivid imagination

Oh gosh that’s a mental image that I’ll probably never be able to forget. xd

yeah…im warped now

lets hope ivers0n is living off campus…

what are the pros and cons of college 8. Im going to be housed there for the upcoming year. I heard it’s pretty far from the campus but in a way i kinda like that since it will allow me to get my daily exercise.

I don’t go to ucsc yet but u think that’s one of the colleges with pretty views of the ocean. I hear it a lot of stuck up people but when I visited the campus that’s not what it looked like to me. It was my 3rd choice. It has a tennis court I believe, the buildings look like little blue cottages, you can see a virtual tour on the housing website.

Colllege 8 is pretty nice. Yes it’s a bit secluded. But you get to live next to a huge, gorgeous field and forest (go exploring!) One of my friends lives there, and she’s sad when she goes home because she likes watching the sun set over the ocean from her room. :P
