who left their undergrad for a new (better) grad school

Did u leave ur undergrad for a new grad school???

If so, how did u rack up the courage to do so??? I've lived with my friends for 5 years in undergrad, and we're like brothers...there's a girl I like too which sucks any rational thought out from my head too...my life is here in ames, IA and it's perfect....

On the other hand, I feel like perhaps if I do leave I will re-discover myself in a new environment?? u know friends come and go type of thing? plust it's better academically/priofessionally...

Did u feel the same way ur last semester??

How did it turn out after u made the move??

i'm thinking ISU --> Purdue/Illinois/Texas A&M

It’s not a big deal. Just do what’s best for your career and leave out all the emotional stuff.

I moved schools and eventually my girlfriend (now wife) moved with me. It was a big deal but not too ridiculous.

I wouldn’t say do what is best for your career though. Do what is best for you. It depends on what you value most. For example, I would gladly take at least some degree of a hit to my career if it meant my life with my wife and eventually kids would turn out better. It is all about priorities.
