Who usually applies first? UCSD or UCLA? I'm just wondering. I've heard that UCLA usually replies first but then isn't UCLA more selective? Many thanks.

UCLA last year. This year, probably UCSD.

From what I've heard/read, UCSD starts sending out decisions on the 15th while UCLA starts sometime in the end of month.

Does anyone know when Davis and Santa Barbara will be sending out decisions?

last year the order came out something like this: ucla, sb, davis, sd, cal...i am guessing ucla is coming out this friday since it came out on the 10th for us last year

UCSD is probably going to send their decisions out first because they don't have the holistic admissions policy that UCLA does.

Was LA really the earliest among the UCs?...I can't believe I don't remember any of this...

it's amazing how quickly you tend to forget about the specifics of admissions stuff once you're in.

I got irvine's before LA's last year ( not including any engineering letters )

it is amazing...everything is so vague now, but i think that's just me.

no, its just that when you're up in the air you're very involved in it all and everything seems terribly important (as can be seen around here lately). and then you get in and none of it seems to matter all that much because, dude, you're in. you have bigger issues now. admissions seems like a very, very long time ago. i still remember the big stuff but i don't remember timelines and everything else.

yeah..irvine was the first but no one asked about irvine in this thread so i was assuming out of the colleges mentioned

i believe for many years ucla has came out before ucsd...they kinda keep it a secret so the server doesn't crash
