Who said the Pac-10 is a weak conference?

I like UCLA's...but I gotta admit, it seems to be getting a shade darker blue every year, which irritates me.

I also like Washington's uniforms. But, I'm a traditionalist and am not too fond of the new uniforms some teams are wearing.

Any Oregon combination is really bad.

Outside the Pac-10, I like Michigan and Nebraska uniforms.

what happened Nebraska?
what happened Michigan?
what happened Tennessee?

Those are some real powerhouses this year...

I LUV Michigan's unis (the helmets are awesome), Oregon's green helmets are one of the best in the Pac-10 (only way to wear that shade of green, IMO), and UW's throwback-style purple jerseys are sweet too (the ones they wore for the USC game).

I like more traditional jerseys, I guess.

Speaking of which, Cal is getting new ones next year...supposed to be a mix of old school and new school, so basically middle school. should be interesting.

^ Really? Where did you hear that?

Cal will probably go to the more performance fabric Nike unis, like USC did a couple years ago.

I read it in a sports illustrated article on their new recruits. he said something like, "Cal showed me the new jerseys they have planned for next year. A mix of old school and new school, they looked real cool."

Needless to say, after that he gave a verbal commitment.

I don't understand how Oregon can have 384?

They have 4 pants, 4 jerseys and 4 helmets. 444=64?

use factorials.

what's the 4th helmet though? i've only seen green, gold, and white.

Uniforms

The University of Oregon football team often comes out with a new design for their uniforms or a new color scheme. In the 2005 season, they used nine uniform combinations, including white jerseys and white pants, yellow and green, yellow and yellow, green and green, white and green, green and yellow, white and yellow, black and black, and white and black, which they wore in the 2005 Holiday Bowl against the University of Oklahoma.

New uniforms were introduced for the 2006 season, allowing up to 384 different combinations of jerseys, pants, and helmets. It was announced prior to the beginning of the season that different colored helmets would be used, however these did not debut until the Ducks wore yellow helmets in their 38-8 loss to BYU in the 2006 Las Vegas Bowl.

There's green with the O, yellow with the O, white with the O, and then a yellow flame one that they wore for the Bowl Game last year.

And can you elaborate more on the factorials?

this might help...maybe include shoes?

yellow and yellow...yellow helmets

The helmets were more gold in color...This would be an absolutely hideous combination.

I liked Oregon's old logo, personally...the one with the angry looking Donald Duck-like cartoon character.

yea, that was awesome..........

can anyone find a pic of that?

^ a pic of what?

You mean the old Oregon logo?

The jersey color has been the same for the past 4 years. :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UCLA_Bruins#School_colors

*The UCLA school colors are "True Blue" and gold. The "True Blue" is a slightly darker shade than the previous powder blue worn by teams. The shade was developed by the UCLA athletic department and Adidas for the 2003 school year.

In the early days of the school, UCLA had the same colors as the University of California, navy blue and gold.

When football coach Red Sanders came to UCLA for the 1949 season he redesigned the football uniforms. Sanders added a gold loop on the shoulders, the UCLA Stripe. The navy blue was changed to a lighter shade of blue. Sanders figured that the baby blue would look better on the field and in film. He would dub the baby blue uniform "Powderkeg blue", powder blue with an explosive kick.*

^ Ok...fair enough...I did say they "seem" to get darker every year.

UCLA ripped off Cal's logo, fight song, mascot, and colors. They aren't very original.

Sheed, good post with the article.

So, 384 was derived from 3 Helmets (at the time), 4 Jerseys, 4 Pants, 4 socks, and 2 shoes.

34442=384

^ 95% of those combinations would be horrific.

which leaves almost 20 amazing combinations.....

i'm just gonna stick with "i like Oregon's helmets" lol...you two can battle it out

UCB, thanks for the pic, and I def agree with you about ucla. you could add the script logo to that list as well.
