<p>I am applying Early Decision to Rice, and I have to submit a counselor recommendation form. Just so that you guys have an idea of what the form is like, here is a link...</p>
<p>I take community college courses and I have a counselor there, but she is not involved in what I do at home. Should she fill the form out for me. If so, should I tell her what to fill out as far as my academic accomplishments go? Thanks for the help</p>
<p>when my son applied I did the counselor rec and school profile, but then we gave them an extra teacher rec from someone outside the family.</p>
<p>I also did the counselor rec and school profile for my sons. We didn't add any extra teacher recs, only the ones requested.</p>
<p>Privates I've talked to have asked for two recommendations other than parents or family members - I'm taking this to mean that I can do the counselor rec. for my kids, and then submit two addtional outside recommendations as well.</p>
<p>For our members of Congress (for military academy nominations) we used our long-time piano professor. She holds a PhD. and is the head of the music department at our local 4-year college. She has known my dd since she was born, and was very knowledgeable about what she has done over the years. Think outside the box!</p>
