I have 3 or four teachers in mind. One is super bubbly and traveled with the UN for a while, and loves me to bits (though I can’t say the same about my feelings). My other teacher is very well spoken and graduated from a really good school in Britain. She doesn’t teach me anymore but we chat and she knows how much I like helping other students and working on myself.
The next teacher is my current teacher, though I had her the year before last. I don’t really know how she views me, but I thought I should ask her. The final teacher knows me to be a brainiac and we are very casual with one another. I’m applying to NYU, Harvard, and Columbia.
They should be from academic teachers from either junior or senior year, which I’m sure you know. Make sure the teacher knows you well and knows your work ethic, participation levels, classroom interaction etc. It’s not always the teacher that gave you an “A” by the way.
2 taught me in the ninth grade. It really isn't that recent, but I l aready have my current Biology teacher (though Lord knows when he's going to get on with my recommendation!). I once heard #2 telling my mother that she knew that I was a good student, but wouldn't answer because I wanted to "give other students a chance". She knows how well I work and how much I do to reach my goals. I think I'll stick with her. Thanks!
