still waiting for electrical engineering

lol everyone is going to write their majors down.

still waiting for computer science

i still have heard nothing for child development major!
instate, 3.5, 24 ACT
chance me…

wait this might sound dumb but are all these people getting accepted for fall 2010? I though the desicions werent coming out until late march?

Nope! Cal Poly starts in February generally. I got accepted 2/10/10.

Still waiting, Parks, Recreation & Tourism

S still waiting. Materials Engineering.

me toooo AMGGG SO DESPERATE

squidgerwinks> I hope your son hears soon. What are his stats if you are comfortable posting. My son got accepted on the 11th to Materials engineering. Good luck! we would love to know someone else in this major. It is less popular than many other engineering majors, but it sounded the most interesting and flexible to my son.

3.72 gpa, 1340 SAT. leadership positions, volunteer hours, a part-time job. majoring in sociology…

Got accepted 2/10/10 Industrial Engineering.

SAT 2200
SAT II: BioM 790, Physics 790, Math2 790, Chem 780
Goes to UK school: 9 As in GCSE; A Levels: Maths A last year.
Predicted for four more A*s in Chem, Physics, Bio and Further
Maths in July.
No Class Ranking and pretty good ECs.

^squidgerwinks Your stats look great to me! I am sure the hang up is because your son is out of the country. Things are a bit different and may be hard for Cal Poly to calculate. I would think that the school would be happy to have a student from the UK. Please keep me posted because our boys might be in the same major! It is a small engineering program for materials, so they would surely know each other.

^^Will do. He is here in CA right now for a break and we
were planning on visiting if he gets accepted. It may have to
wait until next time he is home though.

Still haven’t heard

People with lower stats and less activities have been accepted. Why haven’t I been accepted yet?

^squidgerwinks I would just take him there to check it out anyway. What if he goes back to the UK and is then accepted? How frustrating! It is such a nice campus IMO. I hope he hears soon! It looks like kids are still hearing today, or they may be just posting today. Not sure.

^plushminkie You sure look great to me. i wonder why you haven’t heard yet? I am sure you are very frustrated. I hope you hear soon. What would they tell you if you called admissions? Good luck!

Still haven’t heard but I’m a transfer. Not really sure when they release those decisions.

" Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time. " is what it says online. Phooey. Have any transfers received decisions yet?
