Who wants a Rice email/add themselves to the Rice Network on Facebook?

I’ve been waiting for 12 hours to log in to my Rice email account. How many more hours/days do I have to wait? =[

you should be able to do it ASAP.

Don’t use your full name, use the abbreviated version. (first name letter, middle name letter, and last name letter and a number).

For example my name is Thomas Kwok (no middle name) so mine is Tk5

How do you get that information, like how do you know what your number is?

After you complete this:

https://apply.rice.edu/index.php?module=apply&page=register</a></p>

Your NETID thing will be given.

When I try to complete that registration, I just get this: “invalid data: the information you enter can not be verified.” Am I doing something wrong?

^No, you just have to wait a day or two. Did you just send your deposit in?

Yeah, I just sent it in about 24 hours ago, so that must be the problem. Thanks!

yeah that is the problem…

BTW anyone can sign on NET ID? I can sign on my webmail but not NET ID…

My email just worked!!! 16 hours later…

exactly! and congrats

tomackze i can log into net id as well as webmail.

what is the NetID?

Is it the same thing? something like Tk5 and your pw?

After you click “login using NetID” you get this page.
https://netid.rice.edu/cas/login?service=https://my.rice.edu/uPortal/Login</a>

Yeah Tk5 + your pw should work. If not, don’t worry there’s not much on here.

^ thank you! That one works! I guess I kept going to the wrong NETID page

i need help
i set up my rice mail account
but i can’t set up my esther account
how do i do it

^Rice just sent out an Email saying that Esther information has not been sent. Disregard the first Esther email.

yeah i figured that out…after i e-mailed them for my login information :frowning:
i hope they don’t get mad…that other e-mail update ended up in my spam

it ended up in my spam too
