I just wanted to see what it ACTUALLY takes and how competitive it really is.( yes I know its really difficult…)
So…
GPAs and maybe standardized test scores and which program you got into?
I haven’t decided on whether I wanted to go in the medical field or the dental field but i’m leaning towards dentistry.
To be honest, when I was an underclassman I cared a lot about how prestigious the school was but now I really just want to attend a university that would prepare me the best for my future career.
Anyway, I’m rambling. So… please let’s share!!
especially if you don’t have good grades or something and you still got accepted?

GPA: 4.67/3.9uw, ACT:36, IB diploma. Got accepted into the UMich accelerated medical program. I hated every minute of it and left. I don’t think they even offer it anymore.
@jeremyj, I’m assuming you’re referring the University of Michigan’s Inteflex program when it existed. Was it a 6 year, 7 year, or 8 year program when you started, and what made you hate it?
It was 7 year. I felt horribly restricted on what classes I could take. They wouldn’t entertain the notion that I would want to major in something other than CMB or Biology (despite my repeated protests that humanities majors did better on the MCAT). If you want to come out of college a completely programmed automaton than I guess it would have been a good choice. I ended up going in a whole different direction (career-wise) I had never considered before college and have never looked back.
Interflex is a great program. One of Drexel’s dean came from that program and did her ressidency at Mass Gen (Harvard),
