If you are, why?

raises hand Because the info here is very useful. Also, I'm a nerd.

Because I just can't seem to get enough of "My school is better than your school" arguments... :)

idk about addicted, but i sure do like this website a lot
and i'd say because you receive very good info :)

yes, i'll admit, i've become recently addicted to this website. it's not like other websites, where people post stupid answers, or uninformative answers. the answers here are REALLY REALLY REALLY informative, and i've been asking here alot since the last couple of weeks. =)

I do come here a lot. I think a lot of that is because I'm unfamiliar with the American education system and I'm paranoid that I'm going to mess up my application by not understanding something, or getting into a college and signing away my life and then being demanded to pay a million dollars for it etc etc. And I'm also interested in what other people want to study and where they want to go.. I've learned a lot about places in the US from this board.

i am a new addict.
uhh, because u never know when u will some wonderful info. =]

I lol'd at that.

I need help. I'm addicted.

we should start a CCAA [addict annonymous] website

...so we all have something new to get hooked on...? :D

Seriously addicted. Mostly I like reading "chance me" posts from Stepford children seeking reinforcement of their goodness.

Me! Because... it's fun, and I'm a planner who likes to hoard all the information she can.

LOL laxtaxi!!
I try to only check CC once a day so I can reason that I'm not hopelessly hooked. :) And I try to avoid starting multiple comments a day with "I read something really interesting on CC today." :D

I love this site. There is so much interesting and helpful info. from parents and students alike that I have not found anywhere else.

LOL, laxtaxi--so true, so true. :-

haha post at the same time ^ :D

I'm addicted because I'm in Oregon and there's nothing else to do lol

It's interesting to see all the different points of view.

I confess! I'm an info-junkie and have to say from this forum I seem to be ahead of the info curve compared to other junior parents.

Doesn't mean it will change anything but I am enjoying the learning.

I was once. I had a couple thousand posts and spent tons of time in the cafe. then I left the summer before college.
the memory of the addiction was enough to bring me back half way through the year with this new screenname... I still come occasionally, but the addiction just isn't the same.

This website is like my Facebook!

Seriously, CC was a real find for me last spring when my daughter received acceptances and rejections and we were working to figure out what was happening to so many applicants for 2012. It helped me keep abreast of movement on the waitlist at the college where she hoped to get in, as well as monitor news of the wonderful college where she did get in and is attending. She ultimately got in off the one waitlist, but chose to stay with the school to which she had committed. CC was so very helpful as we revisited schools!
