Who's applying for Fall transfer 09'-Cornell?

Lol Violag, I had a dream while was moving in Cornell!! haha… sadly, i woke up right before I was able enter the building… :'(…

BTW I have joined the facebook group!! haha

i just joined! im lacey, duhh :] friend meeeee!

oh and i had a dream that i got my letter from Barnard, not cornell… it was terrifying tho, cause like it was one of those dreams where you try SOOOO HARDD to do something (run, move, ect) but you just physically cant…

i was trying to open the letter, but my body wouldnt move… haha who wants to shrink my dream? :P

BrandNew, your dream clearly points to your dissatisfaction with your current situation and your inability to control the events taking place all around you. It also indicates a strong underlying sexual insecurity and a need for immediate love and attention.

=P I’m good at BSing on the spot.

lol…nice conversations you have going on. Soooo…are you guys excited/nervous/mixture of both?

Nervous as h*ll just about covers it.

When are we to be notified? May 1?

near the end of april to mid may for most of us…

So if ILR plans on sending most decisions out tomorrow, when do you think they will update the status pages?

Yeah they should if they are releasing decisions tommorow… You didn’t get ur decision yet redsoxgirl? I thought GT’s get theirs right away or one week after the admission committee received ur applications.

I wonder if they’ll wait till 1:30 AM tomorrow 4/20 (weed day!)

How certain are we that it’s coming out tomorrow for ILR?

Two dreams already… the last one was about getting the email and the one yesterday was me exploring the campus. Ah jeez.

I’m not a GT. But I did apply really early so I hope I get my decision soon!

well the only thing we can say is that decisions will be out at the end of april to mid may :)

lame. everythings lame.

This may seem like a stupid question, but what is a GT? I never knew.

GT stands for Guaranteed Transfer. High school seniors applying to Cornell sometimes receive this and it stipulates that they may enroll in Cornell as a sophomore, provided that they enroll in some other college (usually state school or cc) and get a C or better in the required courses. Basically GTs have already been accepted to Cornell but just have to sit out a year.

So are GT applicants counted in the admissions stats too? I know Cornell only accepts 11% of male transfer applicants to CAS, so if GT applicants are included in this, I should just give up now.

CAS do not usually give out GT’s, only the contract colleges such as CALS, ILR, and Human Econ I believe.
