I’m guessing that ILR, like CALS, (since both are contract schools and receive similar volumes of application?) will begin mailing today???

I think CALS get way more applicants than ILR… Im not sure… Contact ILR if u r not sure… Im pretty sure they will be just as nice as CALS reps…

Yeah, according to posts on this forum. ILR is on a rolling basis as well so I think decisions will stretch from now until early May. I’m guessing at least a few of us will receive decisions sometime this week.

But damn ILR sure looks like it will be competitive this year. I think I’ve seen like 10-12 applicants just on these boards; is that the largest representation of any Cornell college on CC?

dragon:

i told you, i just broke in…i dont actually work here

Haha i love intermittently messing around with you dragon while writing my philosophy paper…

In formal logic, the proposition expressed by the formula Ex (Ax & Bx) would not preclude the truth of that expressed by the formula ~Ex (Ax–>Bx), as there are obvious counterexamples that can be provided in the event of such a conclusion. One such counterexample would be the case whereby there are entities m and o which are both in fact members of the sets of things of which A and B can be predicated, i.e. they are each an A and a B. By instantiation, the truth of the first proposition expressed is evidently clear. However, the second proposition expressed could be clearly false if entities m and o exhaust the set of things that are As. This nevertheless becomes more obscure upon examination of the English sentences taken to convey the same propositions as those conveyed by the formulas above. It is at this point that Grice’s maxims and his notion of conversational implicature prove useful.

I changed the weird symbols for you dragon

So anyway, I called CALS. They told me they did not yet have a decision. This makes sense, as I applied at 11:59 on March 15th.

Thus, a lack of acceptance email would not seem to translate into a rejection. Yet.

Now I will go buy cheesecake in a futile attempt to ease my anxiety.
