To those applying next year:
Where do you have your eyes on?
I have my eyes peeled on E and A. My mom has to actually tell me to stop going on their site.
:)

I’m thinking of:
Exeter, Andover, SPS/Lawrenceville/deerfield are tied, Choate/hotchkiss are tied, Groton, milton, and maybe some other places.
How about you guys?

Just some easy advice: have a back-up. It doesn’t have to be a boarding school, but know that you may well end up at a private or public school in your area.

I don’t plan on applying next year.

ok thanks.

Great choices, and I think I may have already responded to some of your other threads (maybe not though).
I would also say apply to a safety school or two, and also narrow down the schools you have listed.
I personally love Exeter, Andover, Lawrenceville, and SPS, though you should find what you’re looking for and make decisions based on that. You’re interest is what’s most important and it’s what will help you sell yourself in an interview!
I applied to the following schools this year:
- [] Exeter
[]Andover
[] SPS
[]Choate
[]Taft
[]Loomis Caffee
[]Cate School
[]Thacher School
[]Lakeforest Academy
[]Hockaday School (this is all girls though and since I’m assuming you’re a boy I would say don’t look into this one haha)
Also, it should be mentioned that I went through I program because I wanted to lessen the application process on myself and have more schools to apply to. This was my route and I’m assuming its not the one you will take, so I suggest you narrow down the number of schools you apply to so you aren’t overwhelmed during the application process (unless you start in September or something).

By the way, if any of those schools seem nice, I could tell you a lot about a lot of them (except Thacher and Lakeforest since I did not visit). I am also going for a revisit at Taft and Loomis this week so I could tell you a lot about those schools.

Good luck! You seem very interested and I hope you have lots of luck this time next year :)

@mathman,

It would be more seemly if u waited till late-April to be asking " Who’s applying next year and where".

There are a lot of tense waitlisted kids here in limbo praying for favorable resolution.

@GMTplus7: Oh, thanks for mentioning that. That didn’t come into my head.

To those all waiting: Hoping you escape the wait list!!!
