By SCEA did you guys mean the SCEA results? they scare me! such good people were rejected!

Ivycraze - I actually stopped watching the results after about… 6 rejected people posted haha. I just knew that if I kept watching people post I’d get progressively more depressed.

I’m just applying keeping in mind the fact that the admissions rate is like 7% overall and 12% SCEA… Gah. Such low percentages

I’ll apply RD, and leave the EA to more realistic goals

the short answers are actually really short! 25 words!

still worried about SCEA, do not know whether to H/P/Y yet, how do yo guys finally decide on Y?

Stepping on campus sealed the deal for me. It was between Y and H, visited both, liked Y better

Sorry but what’s SCEA (I assume something “early admissions”)… I’m a junior this year and definitely want to look at Yale…

Good luck to everyone who’s applying!

Applying SCEA . Everytime I read the 2015 thread, I get jittery :D. Also, I am in love with the questions in the supplement. Major- Anthropology.

SCEA- Single Choice Early Action

Oh okay thanks! So it’s binding then?

^no; it just means you can’t apply early to any other school. If Yale accepts you, you can still choose to not go (I don’t know why anyone would do this :P).

I’m applying regular. (The SCEA pool seems so competitive, and I wouldn’t be able to finish my portfolio by then anyways. sigh.)
majoring in art! Hoping this… relatively underrepresented major will maybe work towards my benefit?!

Definitely applying (though not entirely certain whether SCEA or not)! I’m probably going to be a CogSci or Psych major (haven’t really looked at the differences yet). Totally second chrome’s comment…if you get in SCEA, go!!

most probably SCEA, international and undecided. :)

I will be applying as an English major not SCEA though…actually, it seems as if Yale might have converted to REA if you check the agreement on the supplement.

I wiil be applying to Yale. I’m definately going to applying on the SCEA. Major----> Psychology and either Pre-Med or Theater Studies.

It’s kinda odd to think, but come december, a couple of us will be accepted. Well, that’s just going by odds

WOO SCEA. To whomever brought it up earlier, yes - the SCEA thread ruled my life for about a week last year. xX And to whomever else, 36 ACT. If only National Merit would accept that instead of my not-so-fantastic SAT score. >> I hope my mom learned from my experiences and won’t make my brother take SAT’s “just for fun to see how it goes”. =___=

Thinking of majoring in music, though this past week a guy doing orchestra placement auditions at my school who went there said that’s not the best idea. Hmm. Anybody know about this?

Yale campus is still buzzing even though it’s almost 1 AM. Yale’s a nice place. YSO had its tapping session tonight!

YSO!
YSO!
