<p>I just submitted my deposit today (after visiting yesterday). Who else is going and where do you live? I live in Eugene, OR but I grew up in Arlington, VA</p>
<p>I’m planning on going! How did you like your visit? Any details you want to share?</p>
<p>My visit of Oxford wasn’t too informative because I visited in the early morning of Saturday (so no one was up and the offices were closed). It was worth it though because I got to see the surrounding town and the campus itself. Here are my impressions of the Oxford Campus:
-I loooooove the campus because it reminds me a lot of Virginia
-The grounds are kept in very good shape
-The theater looks sort of like a mini Kennedy Center
-The campus is really, really beautiful
-There is a lot of forestry around the campus and some classes are in the woods (stress management for instance) which I think is pretty cool
-I saw a few campus police cars here and there
-The town is really small</p>
<p>I learned more about the Atlanta Campus because I have a distant cousin who’s a senior in the b-school and she showed me around:
-The campus is really big
-Emory has its own cellphone tower
-The gym is huge and it has racquetball courts and a massive pool along with a smaller one right next to it
-Students get nameplates in class (may just be in the b-school, not sure)
-The library is really big and the bookcases slide left and right when you press a button
-The University Center has a beautiful entrance to a theater (I think that’s what it is because they were playing Peer Gynt), but I hear that the main theater is about a mile away. The bookstore is in there too, but a lot of the stuff is really expensive (like a $62 polo). There’s also a booth where you can get discounted tickets and a monthly pass for unlimited rides on the MARTA (Atlanta’s subway) which I think costs $40. I only stayed on the ground level, but it sounded like there was a dining area right above me.
-The neighborhood around the Atlanta campus is really nice
-There are various buttons around campus that you can press and police will come to you
-I saw several campus police cars patrolling campus</p>
<p>Anyone know the average undergraduate GPA is at Oxford? I read on another thread that it’s 2.7, but I seriously doubt it’s that low. And I’m talking about the GPA you get in classes at Oxford, not GPA of admitted students.</p>
