WHO'S IN, WHO'S OUT: Post MIT's RESPONSE HERE

Uh - Nothing in SF Bay Area, Cali.

Ahahaa. Ben wrote a personal note on the letter. That's so cute.

i dont think cali is getting it till wednesday

Well, someone at my school got a tube today, apparently. I'm thinking this is supporting my theory... :(

you live in cali?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that- MIT is really just one big nose-picking fest. day in and day out. it's a wonder how we manage that whole innovation business... what with our fingers stuck permanently up our nostrils.

[/quote]

But whch finger do you use? I have a theory that the size of the pinky evolved to fit exactly into the nostril, to clear it of any imminent blockages :P

I'm sure they have a lot of nose-flaring action at MIT, since the are so diverse; what message would it send to potential applicants if they all picked with the same finger?

When you flare the nostril, any finger (or thumb) works fine!

one of my friends here in NJ just got her acceptance :D

the locations are all so random!

Alright, this is one fellow from Miami with a tube. I can vouch that yes...tubes have reached the Miami metropolitan area (I've heard from another person with a tube). No I am not lying...but of course you can choose not to believe me. My mail is dropped off around 11 AM every morning and I received it today. Caltech acceptances have also made it out this far. A good day for sure.

Wow, that's amazing. I've never noticed that!

Why is everybody who has gotten anything ... accepted.

Congratulations to all the applicants who are accepted. I guess I miss the train on the Acceptance day, and it's time for me to face the deferral day tomorrow.

:(

ARGH! Anyone in or around Indiana gotten a tube?

i got a tube. I live in jersey. but my friend in a town thats 5 mins from me didn't get his. I have no idea why.

I think we can safely conclude the mail's pretty sporadic, especially with the snowstorm this past weekend.

Some tubes have gotten to Arizona, south of Tucson to be exact. One of my friends just got in. The tubes have also gotten to Maryland and some have gotten to Miami.

so in 15 hours people in the midwest can get theirs? (WI?)

nothin in central jersey - confirmed for december 12,2005. I really hope December 13th. is the day :) for all central jerseyers

Somebody I know in Louisville, KY has received his tube yesterday, but he got it at like 5 PM, which is really wierd. I think it would be unlikely that the processing of the mail has anything to do w/ whether you got a deferral/rejection or tube. the USPS isn't perfect, so all kinds of mistakes and delays happen all the time.

its funny how we all realize that the USPS isn't perfect after 17 years when we are waiting for our MIT letters lol
