WHO'S IN, WHO'S OUT: Post MIT's RESPONSE HERE

Imagine...the line is going to be clogged at all seconds of the day!

Why didn't they offer the calling option the day prior! Many other colleges have deadlines on the 15th!

OMG!!!

Tube came like at midnight, and my parents discovered it when they came out from the house this morning. Wow. Its really cool. You get a poster and star confetti stuff. Good luck to you guys!!!

ARGH STILL NOTHING FROM MIT!! !@$%!@% Dangit, Texas.

Congratulations! Please post on the decision thread.

You do realise there was a foul up in the MIT mail room. Some "letters" - not tubes - were inadvertently not sent out until Monday. See Admin post at the top of thread page, read Ben's latest explanation and the post at 2.30pm.

Learner, I can't tell if you are trying to make everyone crazy or if it's just me and I'm already insane. If I read Ben's post correctly, it says that all decision letters were mailed Friday afternoon. And I Don't see this Admin post at the top of the thread page. But I do know that I don't have a decision letter.

There is a response on the mailing issue from Marty O'Brien, the head of MIT's mail services department, at 2:30pm on Ben's blog today. This is what learner must be referring to.

ahh okay, now I'm just frightened. Blast! Guess deferral/rejection is really a reality. After the good news too! Ugh.

Suburban Boston = nothing today

Now I'm freaking out again, especially after Mr. O'Brien's response.

yep, looks like we're all deferred

This is ridiculous.

Got tube: My geographical coordinates are: 28 degrees North, 80 degrees West.

Einsteiner...out.

Where can this repsonse be found? It seems it has been moved.

It was there 5 minutes ago and was removed, although referred to in later posts.

Seems odd...Considering Nance's comments "As of 1300 GMT the decisions were at Boston’s South Station (the main post office)" It seems from the mail manager's message that they got split up on Friday.

Anyway, I really hope we still have a chance. After all, many still seem to be getting tubes. I wonder if I have any chance at all, wouldn't it have arrived by now!!!

Jones site now has summary of Marty letter at top.

anyone know the percentages of students accepted/deferred/rejected EA?

around 12%, very few rejected

i don't know how many ppl applied total, but <12% were accepted. and I know there was a 10% increase in EA apps.

Is 12% EA acceptance up or down from last year? :)
