3098 apps, and 12% is down from last year.

i just read that of the 3098 students that applied EA, 377 (12%) were accepted, 216 (7%) rejected, and 2371 (76.5%) deferred.

Wow that's a lot of deferrals!

Yeah--a lot of deferrals! I really hope I'm not one of them. Though it is likely, considering I still haven't received my decision!

Who is going to call tomorrow? I don't know what I'm going to do. A part of me is still holding out hope against hope that maybe... nah. But really, reality is laying siege to any optimism I have left about EA.

Oh well, RD here I come. Wow, what would happen if I got rejected...

here's an article from The Tech detailing results of EA:
http://www-tech.mit.edu/V125/N61/earlyaction.html

Wow. Awesome article.

I'm surprised @ 27% URM. That's a LOT.

53/47 male/female is pretty neat too.

are you sure it's tomorrow we can call in? Wasn't it originally the 16th? (but then i hear a rumor that it's been pulled to 15th). What's the # again?

Thanks!

last year the rate was 14%

I GOT IN!!!!! SOOO HAPPY!!!

My friend heard from MIT that you can call in tomorrow.

blah, deferred here. :(

I was hoping my EC's and stuff could make up for my low ap scores...

Anyone have any suggestions of stuff to add for RD? :) (see decisions thread for stats..)

Oh man, I was totally deferred today =(

I just found out about the boards this morning and signed up... so here's a newbie saying hi!
