Jeez. Everyone's so bitter.

Calm down.

Agreed.

The existence of this thread (and many others) prove the awesomeness of Brown..Brown is just too awesome that people actually need to create these threads to make themselves feel a little better/decrease their obsession on wanting going to Brown

aka people like me

I'm loving Brown right now. Love the idea of the Open Curriculum and Providence seems like the right town for me. (Not looking for too much excitement since I don't come from a big city..any place with food and good places to shop, I'll be happy with!)

However, I'm a junior looking to narrow down my college list a bit and if there's a lot of things here about Brown that I don't like..then I'll have to rethink about applying there next year and all.
So I really love this thread.

The liberalism thing and drug problem aren't that bad though right? Like not WAY over the top, a lot more prominent than other colleges?
I think that's my only concern right now.

Smile-- feel free to search about the issue. It's been discussed AD NASEUM. There is also a thread posted within a week of this one soliciting what students currently at Brown don't like about it that is far more helpful than this one.

^ Thank you very much!

I went to the Summer@Brown program, and I was so bored with Providence after the first week. There's only Thayer St. (which is the bookstore, some pizza places, and a Planned Parenthood), the really big mall, and a bunch of CRAZY people. Like CRAZY crazy.

But they do have a Tealuxe...

Still, the atmosphere, students, Open Curriculum, and campus are the main reasons I'm not applying. Which is basically everything.

y ppl who aren't applying even in this forum???????

just curiosity
