who's tired of disappointments?

I personally am...seems like senior year has been the worst so far. And I still have to hear back from 7 colleges! I don't know what I'll do if I get another disappointment...

Anyone else going through this period of despair during their life? LOL

Calm down. Just put your mind on something else while you wait for May to come. Stressing or moping will only make May seem further away.

Yeah, and, well. It'll prepare you for real life. ;D

Alex

The "real world" is even tougher. Take this as a learning experience.

I got one rejection later... now I'm waiting until March/April. Yeah, that one stank really bad and I don't want more, but it's better than being one of those people that have always gotten everything they wanted. People like that lack experience... and they're freaks, haha.

Life sucks, what can you do :)

Well, judging by the anxiety in a lot of these posts, you are not the only person getting rejection letters.

My older kids didn't aim as high as they should have, and so onlyapplied to a couple of sure bets. So they didn't experience rejection, nor did they experience reaching higher.

Sorry for your disappointment!

I havent heard back from Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Pomona, Stony brook, Albany, Hunter, Pittsburgh, BC, UVA, Columbia, Cornell, Brown, Duke and RPI. Thats right zero acceptances so far.My gpa has fallen so much this term. I ahte life. Im getting fat and tired and grouchy.

Completely honest, life can get way worse. It can always get worse. i know that sounds lame. But it is true. Everyone has a tale that could break your heart. I mean way worse- life can get. Not getting into an ivy school is not the end of the world. Be patient. Gets you prepared for life. Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worse. Good luck!

^ like bankruptcy and all the other stuff we've heard before?

I still have to hear back from WashU, UPenn, Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, Georgiatech, Rice, Northwestern, Duke, Tufts, and Caltech.

0 for 1 in acceptances so far.

I actually love disappointments, I'm a bit masochistic...

...NOT.
