Whose from New Jersey?

Seems like there's always a lot of people from NJ on here.
I'm from Middlesex

so who's from NJ?

Is it true that y’all can’t pump your own gas?

i’m from jersey

and when you say can’t, do you mean we don’t know how to? cause we do know how to, but our gas stations are not self-service.

As in you’re not allowed to. haha

im also from middlesex

I am currently residing in New Jersey, though I am from Florida. I left New Jersey at the age of 3 and just came back this winter, to follow my father who has been working in NY Harbor for around a year and a half. It’s a temporary move for now, and I’ll be leaving for college soon anyway.

It’s so annoying, and was hard to remember not to hop out of the car at first.

ME. Northern Jersey.

Central Jersey.

I once tried to pump my gas, but got screamed at by the guy.

Northern Jersey.

lololJersey

mercer county.

haha when we first moved here we always got yelled at at gas stations.

Jersey Mom here…no I have never pumped gas, don’t know how to, don’t ever think I want to!!

Pumping gas is a strange concept.

Oh and I’m also Mercer/Middlesex.

You don’t leave the state from time to time?

Atlantic County – Near the shore.

im in PA so im kind of close to NJ. the funny thing about the gas pumping is that they do it for safety, but the guy always puts the pump on auto and walks away so i dont know how its safer. i dont think theres even places they pump your gas for you in PA you have to do it yourself.and if the guy pumps it you probubly have to give him tip like eating at a restrant. Hes like a waiter.

Monmouth county!

I don’t think it’s for safety. It’s for creating jobs.

But I mean I do. But not when I could drive. So sometimes I’d wonder why my parents would get out, but the concept is still a bit absurd.

Haha yes it is actually against the law to pump your own gas, and the gas station next to my house has signs all over saying “Wait for an attendant! It is unlawful to pump your own gas”

Personally, I would never want to pump my own gas. Especially in the winter, cause I would NOT want to get out of my car every time I have to refill. And at these prices, I feel it’s only fair that they offer service in addition to the gas haha

same

my dad gets mad impatient so he just does it himself :D
