Why _________ University?

I have a handful of colleges that are requiring fairly short essays (250-500 words) and the prompt is "Why __________?" Insert the school's name in the underline.

I don't know how to answer this without coming off cliche. I obviously like the schools campus, and I like its reputation. I am not completely sure what I want to major in so I don't want to write about how they have my exact major and are highly respected in it...since I don't even know what that is for me.

I really am struggling to think of how to make this meaningful, when everything I think of I just feel is too generic and other people are writing it or thinking it.

Any tips on this?

These are really hard to write–particularly if you aren’t in love with the school. Picture yourself at the school, and talk about what you are doing that makes you a happy, productive member of their class. The trick is to come up with something really specific and vivid. i.e., if you don’t know what to major in, does the school have freshman seminars, or clubs, or interdisciplinary institutes, or distribution requirements. What things does this particular school have that would help you explore your interests? The way to avoid cliches is to avoid generalizations.
