Why am I never good enough???????

did u have an interview? u did not mention..if u did not, try ur best to get one...it can really help u if u show them ur enthusiasn and true passion....when ur stats cant separate u and u have done ur essays, go for interview.... gd luck!!

Woah man, you need to calm down. I think that if you did the best that you could probably do... then you should be proud of yourself. Stop trying to live up to other people's standards and do something for yourself. That way, you can look back and be proud of yourself. Chill, go out with friends, plan a party.

Oh the other hand, I'm going to have to agree with train-boy. Just about every admitted student has SAT scores in the 1500s and tons and tons of leadership positions and work experience. The applicants at MIT aren't ordinary people you should compare yourself to, they're extraordinary. So don't fell bad and don't beat yourself up too badly over it.

train-boy?

yep, i think you're stuck with that name now. best not to identify yourself as 'lsa from cc' in real life in case you meet any of us in person;).

Do you not enjoy being called train-boy??? :(

i think he's going to have to be trained to respond to that name form now on =D

hahahahAHAHHAAH

See? I told you, it has a nice ring to it. :D

-dies laughing-

umm... I don't want to sound emtionally numb, but ...... WHO CARES? Thousands of others kids are going through the same pain. I can only empathize, not sympathize.

"That spark"?

What's it mean? It means that MIT isn't a school that's just for gnurds and hard workers--it's for people who are stunned to find out that there's a whole school just for people who think like them.

"Think like them"? Well, if your friends find you logical to an extreme, one of those people who devises an experiment with control to solve a simple problem, is more interested in how a race car is designed than in how fast it goes, is curious about why cookies are chewy one time and not the next (when you thought you'd done everything the same)---if you think about science and math and engineering all the time, you'll have fun at MIT. And if you're not going to have fun at MIT, DO NOT GO THERE. Because those are the people who have drinking problems, who commit suicide, who have emotional problems....
