This is evident in both my grades and testing. I just took the SAT subject tests. I hardly studied for lit but I'm guessing I got between 700 and 780. On the other hand, I studied really hard for both chem and in my ap chem class. I've done fine in the class but I'm praying for a 650+. On the normal SAT, without studying I got a pretty mediocre score (1900). My highest score was a 710 in reading, but I got bellow 600 in math. On practice tests I'm now averaging a 800 in writing, a 720 in reading, and a 610 in math. This is extrememly frustrating. I practice doing math but to no avail. My math ACT scores are betterm but my reading, writing, and science scores are worse so switching tests won't help. Is there anything I can do to become more math minded? I'm exactly like the stereotypical girl. Great at english and writing, but terrible at math and science, a dime a dozen. The only thing unique about me is that I'm a URM, but I'm from an affluent neighborhood so it doesn't really matter.
Bottom line: How can I improve my over all math and science skills? I already take a challening science class (I would also be in accelerated math but it wasn't possible with my schedule, so I'm blocked out of Calc BC)
