<p>How long shall my answer be? Do you think 200 words are too short?</p>
<p>I originally wrote my essay before commonapp came out and it was about 600 words. Then I realized they only wanted us to write “write one or two paragraphs”, so 200 words seems good.</p>

<p>You can write long paragraphs, however. Search for “Rohan’s essay,” a Why Chicago essay that was sent out to prospies by the dean last year. It’s a two paragraph essay, with both paragraphs being pretty long. Whatever you need to make your point.</p>
