WHY CORNELL? how long is yours?

I'm currently working on my "Why CAS" short answer and it looks like it will be around 250-300 words. The limit is 500, so would it seem like I'm not passionate about Cornell? I do believe what I've written is enough, but should I write more?

If you can write like Hemingway, I don't think Cornell's going to care how long your essay is. They have many many other factors on which they will judge you. I applaud you for being able to express a thought so succinctly. It seems many other HSers don't seem to understand the concept of a word LIMIT.

Doesn't the essay also ask about your intellectual interests? Mine is just over 500, split 50/50 between interests & "why"

its better to write a concise 300 word essay than a rambling 500 word essay. but is there anywhere you can add some details? it seems like 250-300 words is still running on the short side...

yeah..aren't there two essays that are supposed to be roughly 250 words each?

i'll be glad to PM my short answer to anyone who's interested when I'm done with it...and you can tell me if you think it should be longer :)

send it over and I'll take a look if you want.

Why Cornell?

sure hit me up

Mine is going to be around 400 words. I think 250-300 words would be adequate.

if you still need some
