<p>It’s easy for you because you’re a freshman, not taking any AP classes, probably not taking any extracurriculars, and your school is still stuck in “Beginning of the year” mode. Of course, it could be that you’re a genius trapped in classes with people who aren’t on the same intellectual level as you, but I doubt that.</p>
<p>Most of the people here that I’ve seen (including me) are taking several AP courses, and don’t take kindly to others bragging - especially if it’s coming from someone who just got into high school. Freshman year is a joke, as many other people on this thread have noted. It gets harder in sophomore year, and can be torturous if you’re a junior/senior taking many college-level courses.</p>
<p>I’m glad you find freshman year easy. Enjoy that feeling while you can, because you’re not going to feel the same when you’re a junior juggling several APs, extracurriculars, and possible jobs while trying to have some time to yourself.</p>
<p>Meh, I dunno if HS is that hard but it’ll kick your ass if you start to get cocky. High-school was actually harder for me during my freshman and sophomore years. Once I started finding a balance, things got easier.</p>
<p>Then again, some of the kids on this site seem pretty anal. I do varsity sports, volunteering, and I’m in all advanced classes but I haven’t pulled an all-nighter since freshman year. Other kids would be lucky to get a full-night’s sleep once a week and it’s like a badge of honor for them. I don’t get it.</p>
<p>I’m a high school freshman too. Although high school wasn’t a huge leap from middle school, it is definitely harder. And all of the sophomore/junior/seniors i know have all told me that freshman yr is so easy, which is why everyone hates us haha. everyone feels the same way about freshman year, its not just you.</p>
<p>You are a freshmen. That’s why its not hard. You don’t have AP classes, ACT/SATs to worry about, college applications to do, ecs to participate in/lead, an internship, etc. Trust me, it gets much much harder. My little brother is a freshman, and he doesn’t understand why I’m always stressed about school. Give it another year or two, and he will.</p>
