<p>i dont get it. there are so many very good looking Cornell girls here, who are in long-distance committed relationships 4-5 states across with guys who are in the bottom-tier schools. For example, once you come here, you'll notice that tons of the sweet natured, cute, intelligent, Cornell girls have boyfriends who go to SUNY Geneseo, or likewise. i dont get it.</p>

<p>A lot of smart people go to SUNY Geneseo and a lot of dumb people go to Geneseo. It's known as the best SUNY; but it still is nevertheless a SUNY.</p>

<p>but whenever someone mentions either one, there is a look of disgust</p>
<p>i am absolutely in love with cornell but i also think it is extremely ignorant to discount the opportunities a suny school offers. for example, suny stony brook and suny albany offer a scholars for medicine program that is more competitive to get into than cornell. for someone hoping to become a physician the program at these suny schools is better in that you are accepted to a world class medical school as a high school student. people get so caught up in name recognition that they tend to overlook these other schools. </p>
<p>personally, i still love cornell because its in my mind the most amazing place in the world even though for my specific aspirations, suny schools may be a better fit</p>

I applied to a couple including the RPI/AMC, case, drexel and a few others...
Stony brook is too good for me so i didnt even try.</p>
<p>i applied for stony brook even though i know it is the longest shot in the world. drexel has a great program to and i looked into it but my parents were concerned about its surrounding neighborhood</p>
