<p>If women were cited or arrested for exposing their breasts in public purely due to the religious beliefs of a large segment of the population than it might be unconstitutional since an argument could be made that it violates the First Amendment which prohibts government establishment of religion. However, opposition to women bearing their breasts in public is also deeply rooted in our culture, history and traditions which the Constitution is essentially silent about. </p>
<p>I do not believe there is any Federal statute that prohibits women from exposing their breasts in public. Indecent exposure laws are invariably local ordinances and are not the same in every state, county or municipality. The Supreme Court has struck down local ordinances in the past as violating the U.S. Constitution and likely would in the case of laws that prohibit women from exposing their breasts if the laws were purely religiously motivated. But since it is also a cultural taboo the issue of constitutionality is not so clear cut since unlike the First Amendment’s clear statement against the government imposing religious values on people, there does not seem to be any provisions in the Constitution that prohibit local governments from imposing what are believed to be neccessary standards of personal behavior on people in public places.</p>

<p>I was actually reading cosmo earlier today and they had a little map of some of the places in america where it is legal to go topless. They said the states of New York and Maine and then Portland, Austin, San Francisco (I think) and a few other cities.
i also learned that in the majority of women their left breast is slightly larger than their right . I thought it was the other way around.</p>

<p>It is because society has turned women into sex objects. Why do you think women are the stars in pornography? Why do you think every movie has some female wearing something skimpy?</p>
<p>It is because sex is most oriented with women. It is just something that developed over time. Women were considered lower than men and only useful for reproduction and chore-work.</p>
