Why do you think you will get in?

With less than a week left until D-day I'm curious what everyone thinks is there biggest asset? Why should Princeton accept you? What makes you unique? Was there something important you focused on in your application? Good luck to everyone!!

Perhaps this thread would make more sense after people have gotten accepted/rejected. Right now (in my view), it seems like a time bomb with detonation in four days or so.

Uhh… I don’t think I’ll get in? Haha :D

^ Same.

10char.

Umm…I really really loved my essay. I stayed there for 2 months for a summer program, and the president of Princeton is also on the board of directors for the program. So hopefully that will show my interest in the school. Pretty good interview. I knew the guy’s daughter. Seeing how someone from my school last year got in, and it wasn’t just about scores made me feel better.

if i were to get in, it would probably be my essay + im URM + military experience after high school

Oh yeah. I’m a URM too :-)

i don’t think I will get in

but I if I do get in, I will know it’s because God has forgiven me for not believing in him ;)

Haha, I don’t think I’ll get in either. My Princeton app was probably my weakest.

Because miracles can happen. :)

@chinatown- what hs you at in AZ?

Well, I think my Princeton application was actually one of my stronger applications… I wrote two very solid essays and one decent engineering essay. I mean, one of the essays didn’t explicitly respond to the prompt… but the response is there implicitly :D

My Pton essay was one of the best I’ve ever written. I’m glad I used it for Columbia as well.

I don’t think I’ll get in.

If I do, it will be the result of a great interview - the guy majored in English and studied under Toni Morrison and Joyce Carol Oates - as well as my writing portfolio as a supplement. We had a really, really great discussion about writing. Will always remember it.

And my essays I think were really good, as well as my letter to the Adcom that explains some personal/familial circumstances.

Well, I don’t think I’m going to get in, but you never know. If I did get in, I think it would be because of my demonstrated passion in medicine. I’ve done a lot of activities within science and medical field (including volunteering, internship, my own research, clubs), and my essays really emphasized how medicine is a huge passion for me. And my essays were also very creative, I think, and I highlighted my somewhat adversity (I’m epileptic) and how it sparked my interests in medicine. I have a 4.0 UW GPA as well, with ten AP classes, so that hopefully helps to make up for my test scores, which are a little lacking for Princeton (2100 SAT, 730 on both SAT IIs, 33 ACT). I’ve got my fingers crossed, though I foresee all of my dreams being crushed in less than a week. :p

Because Princeton’s beneath me. Smogon University’s where it’s at.

YEAH! Go Smogon.

I like shoddybattling because it’s a quick and easy way to see what works, and what doesn’t.

But the real deal is actually getting a GBA/DS/DSi and manually training your pokemon up.

HAVING SAID THAT, my clincher for Princeton would be…my 61-page artistic supplement (one-shot manga). XDDD

I’m not expecting to get in, but if I do it’ll be my common app essay and unique situation.

I’m going to be brutally rejected. However, in the unrealistic case in which I get in, it’s probably because of my ecs(900 + hours of comm service, all with leadership) essay and schoolwork. Not because of testscores, they suckkk(2150 SAT 1 and 740 math 2 750 bioM 760 Chem)
