<p>I'm trying to write just a simple paragraph for NYU Stern's appilication asking what experiences have led you to choose business and what interests you about it. I want to go into business and marketing/advertising because I like math and working with numbers, I enjoy fast-paced environments, I have experience being a leader, and I've always like art, but I can't seem to put these reasons into a cohesive statement. Any suggestions or comments on why you want to go into business?</p>
<p>Because you love people, and the great relationships that business allows you to build. Also, because you love money. The whole purpose of business is to make money, really, if you cut to the chase.</p>

<p>I do NOT recommend writing anything about wanting to make money in your essay.</p>
<p>The most generic stereotypical responses have to do with: Wall Street, finance, Investment Banking, and making money.</p>
<p>Change it up and make yourself stand out.</p>

<p>Marketing is about insight and communication. It sounds like you are fascinated with looking at markets analytically to gain insights, formulating a strategy based on the insights , and using words and pictures to execute your strategy to influence the market in your direction.</p>
