Why Does Your Life Suck At Your Current College?

I am not sure if this has been posted before, but I am studying for a bio final, and trying to avoid it by thinking of all the things I hate about my current college:
1. almost no diversty (their idea of diversity is bringing more white people from different parts of the world- this is how a librarian once described diversity at my school to me)
2. nothing challenges me--so I am about to pull a b+ in my bio class, which is terrible for me, but I frankly don't care anymore because I am not motivated at all
3. I hate what I have become as a result of this college--I say "like" and "um" a lot because of my fatuitous company
4. too close to home--I want to experience different shades of life and am frankly bored by where I live
5. the library sucks--has a terrible fiction section, and is very small (I should've mentioned this in my transfer application to Stanford, but forgot)
6. I hate all the bastards who keep smoking and polluting the air--which is approximately 99% of the campus

So, that was my rant. What do you hate at your current college?

The smokers who stand beside all the doors to every single building.

The idiots who are more concerned with what party to go to and how to get a fake ID than their grades

And the list goes on...

i hate how people go there thinking its a continuation of high school but the one good thing is that since theres so many idiots it makes all of us look so much better to the universities, so it does have its advantages, but as much as i liked the education i was getting at glendale community college , i hated the atmosphere, and i smoke so i cant hate on the smokers lol

I know you're transferring to Washu (same here), but what school are you transferring from, may I ask?

People look down on my college. When I applied to summer programs, I have perfect grades and a breadth of experience but I think people look at my school and go, ick.

My friends go to Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Stanford and I love their colleg stories. I have none to tell. My school lacks that type of history or "mystique" that traditional schools have. And its pretty boring

People here are incompetent. I have to send my transcript like 8 times.

Everyone here is a closet whore.

Its not exactly a mecca of intellectual conversation. Its hard to find someone here to discuss the merits of Ayn Rand or advancements in bio. No one here cares.

its too cold at my school. and its in the MIDDLE OF NO WHERE....i see farms from my window....my school is all hills and mountains...my buns have become steel from all the uphill climbing.

p.s: i go to syracuse. (g-mac for 3, its good!)

i love how people bash everything else about their school when in the end you just gotta realize it's more about you than anything else. i go to nyu, and i used to moan and whine about it all the time... there are certainly things i don't like about it... but i know my next school's not gonna be perfect either. i used to like to think that i "could do better than this" but in the end i'm just not compatible with nyu, and i have great respect for those who can make it here

chibiutena where you from?

Those are all stupid reasons. I hate my college because there is usually a maximum of 1 hot girl in my classes, and there is a 1/2 chance that she has a boyfriend. So really, I might find myself knowing that I am going to deffinately interact with 3 hot girls on a daily basis for sure. Given that a guy with some game has about a 1/10 chance of scoring, it follows that I will deffinatly score about only once every three years.

Otherwise, I actually have to make an effort to meet girls, and I hate having to work..

K BYE

University of Illinois at Chicago

What? Are you serious?

lol you name 'a lack of hot girls at your CC' being a reason your life is tough...

and then you say 'those are all stupid reasons' to somebody else..

thats ironic.

a few of my favorite quotes from classmates:
-in a calculus II class : "so you gave us some word problems in the hw. we never worked any in class, but are they just like the regular problems....but w/ words"

-me trying to tutor a kid who wants to be an electrical engineer: "ok... well lets start w/ something basic. if i give you a speed, let's say 5 meters/sec and a time, let's say 2 secs, how would you figure out the distance travelled:"
-kid: " i have no idea"
so then i tried explaining this concept....to this day he does not understand why multiplying those values gives the correct answer

I must be missing something here :)

It's not like anybody goes to school to learn....

if its not too much trouble...can you all post your school as well?

Haha matm1, it's people like you that make my cc suck.
You'd have a great time at ucsb.....

haha agrees with yellow

not in order of importance

having no eye candy to stare at during class

everyone having a different accent (vietnamese, african, iranian, southern), especially profs

incompetent counselors

everything is under one building, making it loud in the hallways

i live 30 mins away, 1hr 20mins if there is traffic (thank god i god into smu, only 5 miles away)

the school changes textbooks every year so it is hard to sell books back

the know-it-all middle age folks

my physics professor

wireless only being in certain parts of the campus

everyone using the library computers for myspace when someone might need one for research. luckily, i have a laptop.

people in the library talking loud.

i got on a role there for a little bit. i'm glad i don't have to put up with all of that **** anymore next semester.

I'm transferring from Western Illinois University.

i go to brandeis and i'm not jewish

enough said
