Why don't Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, etc. have an undergrad. business school?

does that mean that everyone who's getting an MBA in harvard comes from somewhere else like upenn?

They don't want pre professional undergraduate schools. as opposed to vocational training, they want their students to have a grounding in the liberal arts.

No, Harvard is the most represented school at Harvard Business School and Stanford at Stanford B (proportional of course).

Lots of ppl I know who went on to business school got their undergrad degrees in economics or finance... or a number of other majors. You don't HAVE to go to an undergraduate business school to get an MBA.

does that mean i SHOULD go to an undergraduate business school to get an MBA like MOST people?

if you really want to ... then look at Wharton. but i don't think it's necessary. and i don't think MOST ppl with MBA's went to undergraduate business schools. My father sure didn't. He got his degree in Chemistry. So... really, it doesn't matter.

if you don't value the idea of a liberal arts education, don't waste your money going to harvard.

in my mind, a business education for undergrad is worthless, especially since I WANT to go to business school. Why spend four years focusing on learning about something that I'm DEFINITELY going to do later on? Why not learn something that makes me unique and expands me, like Chemistry or Political Science or Engineering? Those will expand me more as a person, whereas a Wharton undergrad degree is similar to an MBA, so essentially I would be repeating a large portion of my education.
