Why don't UCs offer an Education major for undergraduates?

Other than very small private school they are the only schools I heard of that don’t offer that major. Is there any particular reason why?

Here’s a UC systemwide list of majors:

It looks like UC Irvine offers an Education major for undergraduates and multiple UCs offer an Education minor.

In California if you want to teach, you major in the area you wish to teach (history, English, etc.) and then earn your teaching credential. If you want to earn a multiple subject credential in order to teach K-8, typically you major in Liberal Studies. The UCs are not geared toward training teachers, that’s the job of the CSUs.
