Why I chose Yale over Harvard (by a current student)

I'd say you have made a very healthy adjustment. Play the cards you are dealt, and don't worry 'bout what mighta been!

Unless you can provide me with a link, I still don't think Princeton has reported the number of deferred ED applicants admitted in the ED round. This is the stat we were discussing. Harvard generally reports it, and Yale sometimes, but Princeton and Stanford never.

HAHAHAHA!
Byerly called me "pompous"!
And just yesterday Placido Domingo told me I was a great singer!
Great to have received such accolades from the experts in those fields!!!

Who remembers 'Brown Alum'?

if you're looking for him, you need only scroll to the top of the page, post #181.

Ah, those were the days... at a site not as picky about multiple aliases ... when PosterX - alias "The YALIE TROLL" posted as "Brown Alum", "Penn Parent", "Harvard '04", "Vermont Girl", "Real Estate Mom" and a score of other characters in a revolving menagerie - all of whom had these articles of faith in common: they believed in perfection of Yale, the inferiority of Harvard, the insignficance of Princeton, and - above all - the glories of "rapidly-gentrifying" New Haven, with its "upscale martini bars", zero crime rate, and spanking new Walmart!

This is very entertaining. opens bag of popcorn

Troll X still owes me a reply in a thread he opened on the Harvard Forum.

Thanks for noticing Byerly. There's no use in worrying about inferior possibilities when I've been dealt the best hand. ;)

Dude...*** at Byerly

Seriously, what is with your gigantic chip on the shoulder about everything Harvard-related???

That's what I'd like to know.....

Don't be silly. Princeton is a perfectly decent school. Consider yourself fortunate indeed to have wound up there even though Harvard didn't work out. Perhaps there will be a bonfire this year!

I don't go to Princeton, and I just got back from a Bonfire Night celebration. So I'd still like you to explain what your problem is.

Byerly is a fine man. just fine.

Princeton hasn't had a bonfire rally in more than 10 years. They're still hoping ... provided Yale cooperates!

As for our Princeton bonfire this year, all I have to say is:

There is hope yet!

P.S. MallomarCookie, Byerly was referring to me before.

Yale remains undefeated in the ivy league. Princeton is not.

/Please, proponents of Harvard and Princeton, this is the Yale forum. Kindly gtfo.

Cool! A profane acronym that eludes the automatic censor.

This may be the Yale forum, but if you go back to the original posts, this thread is mainly about Harvard. So it's not surprising that the Harvard folks showed up. And a fight between Yale folks and Harvard folks always attracts the Princeton folks.

Some day, some Yalie over here will start a thread or two that the mods find more compelling than this one. At that point, the mods will substitute out this one as a featured discussion and this thread will be permitted an honorable death. But it hasn't happened since May, so don't hold your breath.

In the meantime, this thread is back to providing some entertainment value. So my advice would be to relax, sit back and enjoy the show.

it's all about endurance,..

I have three simultaneous careers. How's that for pomposity!
And you, please, don't try to hide under a cover of "bonding" with a particular poster (which I undrestand might happen) to defend your previous humorless, disrespectful posts. Can't find them? They are all over CC!
Baby, you're no stand-up comedian.
