<p>to OP: It’s very informative, but no one that age will listen to you. I often think of how much better my college experience would have been (not that it wasn’t good), had I been told exactly what to expect, study, and even how to go about the college admissions process. Unfortunately I’ve come to terms with the fact that the me of 4 years ago couldn’t have cared less. Similarly, you will find most ignore your wise words, even more so evidenced by those in this thread.</p>
<p>In general : It’s not where you go, it’s what you do and what you can show for yourself. I used to be vehemently against this idea and all elite schools!1 like the common sentiment here but it’s just not true in practice. Outside of your social circles in high school no one really cares where you go, and your intelligence isn’t measured (at least for where it counts) by a university’s name but how much you have proven yourself.</p>
