Based on what do you want to attend the college of your 'dreams'? what makes it so especial? is that what you really want for your life? what's most important for you? reveal yourself people, dont lie to yourselves too...

Well the college that I want to attend has an amazing location: An island in Maine, so it is surrounded by natural beauty and that is something that was a necessity to my college pursuit. Academic wise, although it only has one major, Human Ecology, which i'm not the most interested in(i'd prefer Meteorology), it is very versatile and has a lot of different sections in it, like Literature, Art and Marine Studies, all of which I have interest in.

The atmosphere is also very enticing, at only 280 kids it is very small and close-knit, which I also find more appealing than being lost in a crowd at a big school. It is one of the more prestigious Liberal Art colleges, ranked 27th I believe, and the essay and short questions are most important when applying. Food is ranked best in America as well, and I love food :P

Finally, the alumni are very active in what they pursue. People aren't passive learners, and you don't really have that "just-out-to-make-money" attitude. So yeah, that is why it is the college of my dreams. :)

For me, there isn't a perfect college. But Rice was as close I could get to perfect. It's small (2800+ undergrads), has excellent engineering programs, and is an awesome school for premed (90% med school acceptance rate). My perfect school would be Rice in SD but Rice in Houston is fine too.

san diego state:

for me: as a business major, it has a strong business program.
great location, coastal city with weather in the 60-80's all year around. im a city boy so it being in the city is great. D1 sports games to attend that brings the school together. one of the top 5 party school's guarantee's a good time every weekend (if im in the party mood)

Does this perfect school have a name?

the college i'm going to (azusa pacific university) is perfect to me because of the small class size, the emphasis on community service (and not just academics), the close relationships between students and faculty, and the fact that it's a christian school.

Stupid but obvious answer: it just is. I knew it when I visited that this was the one.

Cornell

I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. I had a nightmare last night that I couldn't go back for some unknown reason... it was the scariest dream I've ever had.

Well, for me, the college of my dreams turned out to not be exactly what I thought was looking for in a school. When I was looking at colleges, I thought I wanted a really big school (think UMaryland) with thousands of new people for me to meet, not in the city, and a nice suburban campus. I wanted it to be school with newer, high-tech buildings rather than old, ratty ones. However, when I visited these schools, I found myself not really finding anything special in any of them.

However, I visited UPenn because its business school is at the top, and that's what I wanted to do. I ended up absolutely falling in love with it, despite the older buildings, smaller student population, and city location. It had all these things that I didn't realize I wanted until I saw them. I took the tour of the campus, talked to a bunch of students, and realized that it was somewhere where I would truly be happy. I began to worry that if I went anywhere else, I might resent that school for not being Penn.

It's pretty much what Scarlet said. I just knew it when I saw it, I couldn't really prepare for it.

The college of my dreams wait-listed me, and so I went to another school. I'm pretty happy, I love my major, I have great friends and I could not see myself going anywhere else. Especially my dream school.
It's funny what life will bring you.

Location:
I think people are nicer in the South and the climate is a lot more agreeable than NJ.

Size:
Roughly 5000 kids not so small that you'll see the same kids everyday, but not so big that you'll get lost. Also easier to navigate

ACC Sports (best college sports in the world)

Top notch academics

Liberal arts that offers research opportunities

Awesome study abroad

They give you a laptop.

This all sums up to Wake Forest University which is the best school in the world IMO (save Hogwarts perhaps).

College of the Atlantic. Sorry that I left it out. :)
