<p>Hey I’m having the same problem. The site says that the deadline for freshman fall 2014 has been passed, and I have to submit a petition. This is ridiculous. Do you know anyone else who might have knowledge of what’s going on?</p>
<p>The fun part is that even for spring 14 , transfer fall 14 it says deadline passed …!! those deadlines are supposed to be in march !! STupid this is , I tell you !! This is a bug in the online application … I have submitted my petition !! Please US students ,Call them and notify them and tell them to postpone their deadline !!!</p>

They aren’t back in their office until January 2nd. Which is the deadline.
I e-mailed them and apparently my friend just submitted his.

<p>Hm… Interesting. I never knew the deadline for applying for Fall 2014 Transfer was yesterday despite their website stating that the early admission deadline Feb 1st and final admission deadline was March 1st.</p>
<p>I submitted my petition , I sent them an email , I also posted this issue on the UIUC page on facebook , ( where they were active an hour ago, posting happy new year ) … (<a href="https://www./illinois.edu%5B/url%5D">https://www./illinois.edu</a>) what else ??</p>
<p>hopefully they look into this glitch and fix it asap or even extend the deadline a day or two. outrageous!!!</p>

<p>I’ve got a reply from them saying this: “An error occurred which caused our application for admission to close before the deadline. The issue has now been resolved and you will have through January 5th to submit your application. Thanks for patience, and we’re very sorry for the inconvenience.”
So this clearly means that the deadline is January 5?</p>
<p>Is the deadline Jan 5 or Jan 2 then?! By what time (as in hour, with time zone) do I need to get my application in?</p>
<p>I think the deadline will be Jan. 5th. They’ve made a mistake and it’s unlikely they are about to make it again.</p>
<p>Does this extension apply to all prospective applicants? I ran out of time to submit yesterday - would they accept my application if I turned it in by the 5th?</p>

<p>If you can still access your application, then I’m pretty sure you have time till January 5th. I think they won’t let you fill the application when the deadline passes, just like they did on 1 January when they made an error</p>

<p>What does excatly mean “you will have through January 5th to submit your application”? Do I have time until the end of the 5th January or what?</p>
<p>Is it at the end of the day Central time January 5th or</p>
<p>11:59PM January 4th???
