Why on earth would anyone want to work for Goldman Sachs

This thread is nothing more than fanboys, and people brainlessly bashing an organization. The ignorance is amazing from both sides of the isle.

Who did I classify as evil? Do you know how to read? I didn’t bash any organization. I told the truth. Everyone knows about it. This time it’s even all over the news.

I own my own “Wall Street” firm. I don’t blindly follow anyone. I make my own news. You have no clue about my experience with Goldman Sachs in other matters. I know about them because I have first hand knowledge about what they do.

If you feel enough shame to lash out at people who share the truth about GS then maybe you should reconsider your life. You’re not cut out for GS. From my point of view that’s a good thing. You’re probably not cut out to work for the mob either. Am I a jerk because I don’t like mobsters?

There’s more to life than money. If I die today, I know I lived a life of integrity and honor. I’ve helped thousands of people and at times my service to the world was selfless. I understand duty, and loyalty. Advisers have a duty to their clients. GS disloyal behavior has just become readily apparent. You scoff at me for holding these virtues in high esteem. What does that say about you?

I’m glad the stock is coming back btw. I own some brk-b.

Tortfeasor, don’t google anything and answer these questions. (Maybe you know what you’re talking about, but I have my suspicions):

 1. What does your “Wall Street” firm do?
 2. Explain to me what GS did wrong, be specific, don’t be vague.
 3. Explain to me what a CDO is, and what a CDS is. (hint: not a type of music CD).

The fact of the matter is, your “truth”, is false. You should reconsider your life, where you blindly go around and follow the heard and call for blood, people like you are what is wrong with the USA. People that always have an opinion on something.

There is more to life than money, but you can live a life of integrity and honor and do it at Goldman, or Morgan Stanley, or UBS, or any other bank.

Tortfeasor, stop being so self righteous, it’s disturbing and unseemly. You sound like a Mother Theresa wannabe.

I did NOT scoff at you for holding virtues in high esteem, I scoffed at you for being a self righteous ignorant human being that likes to share the populist opinion while waving pitchforks.

Hope your shares do well.

How can an organization be labeled evil that “does God’s work”?

MFSAMAN,

I wasn’t being so literal. Goldman Sachs people gave lots of money to Obama and his pals. They are not exactly free market capitalists. The fact that GS gave money to the Democrats should not exempt them from various “reforms”.

When you give a pitchfork to the populist mob eager to stick it in someone else(Health Insurance, Oil, any company they wish was unionized), you deserve to get stuck yourself.

Jonah, nobody said GS or any financial firm with political contributions should be exempt from any reform.
What reforms are you referring to?
Who gave a pitchfork to the populist mob? Not sure what you are talking about.

Ha! I hit the nail on the head. I love it when I’m right!!

Stop wasting time on CC an get back to work for your masters.

I don’t work for GS. :P

The chance to be a sacrificial lamb of course. :D

I think there’s an onlie course for that. Goldman Btch 101.

you get to work like a dog, but it does have a great name.
