why penn & why M&T

Hey guys,

I'm applying to Penn M&T.

How do I distinguish the 2 essays between why penn and why M&T?

given they are 2 different prompts, a lot of why penn attracts me is the dual degree programs offered around the whole university.

Is the distinction more like, focus on engineering/business for M&T essay.
Focus on campus/location/weather/people...etc for Penn essay?

I am having trouble distinguishing them

Please don't talk about the weather in your essay. But yes, keep the M&T one more specific to your interests in engineering and business and how they intersect; and keep the other one more about Penn in general. You could talk about the campus, the city, the faculty, other departments that interest you, specific clubs/activities at Penn that interest you etc.

i almost wished I had talked about the weather...even philly is an improvement over michigan, and it could have been made into a humorous observation

hey man it was a joke, it was really gloomy yesterday, and I was trying to make the point that there are tons of reasons to want to go to penn, and honestly indeed might be the best policy as long as you have a good honest reason to focus on, the idiosyncrasies can be forgiven or even laughed at
