I have read a lot of great things about Pitt, and their IR dept. especially. But I really don't anything about Pittsburgh and the UPitt. If anyone could educate me in the ways of Pitt it would be really great because it looks like a cool school but I don't really know anything about it.

<p>One of the easiest ways to find out about Pitt is to go to the main list of topic threads for the University of Pittsburgh here on Collegeconfidential.com and scroll down to the bottom of the page where there is "Display Options". If you put in "Last Year" in the "From The" category you can see all the postings up to a year ago. I would suggest reading through these as a lot of people asked the same questions you did. Many were entering freshman wanting information and are now answering those questions as soon to be sophomores. We found out a ton of information doing this. Hope this helps.</p>
<p>Even though you are a Raiders fan, you can come here! The Steeler Nation is very real and we are crazy for our team, but we are a nice friendly city and will only crucify you verbally! :D The enthusiasm is sort of contageous and you may find youself wearing black and gold before you know it!</p>

<p>Don't worry, Groenveld9, Black and Gold are not school requirements. I am from New York City and have been a Giants fan all my life and I went to Pitt. Although I did get picked on by some of my friends when the Giants weren't doing well, you don't have to fear for your life. And there are plenty of student from Philly, so you will see a lot of Eagles jerseys, too.</p>
