Running. Reading. Making jokes. Oh, and psychedelics. But I haven't been able to get any in ages.

Running. Reading. Making jokes. Oh, and psychedelics. But I haven't been able to get any in ages.

I prefer ______ as a personal alternative addition to smoking pot.

smoking pot.

...wait...eh, whatever

the whole pot as a gateway drug idea might seem to work in accordance with anecdotal evidence, but realize correlation does not mean causation. people more likely to smoke marijuana might have simply been more inclined to smoke other drugs in the first place. the same idea can be applied to accusing potheads as "unproductive hippie stoners."

also some interesting food for thought: measuring productivity is often only in an economic sense, and economic productivity we generally measure the value by money. you can't just assess the value of everything by money alone. if i place high value on music, and music sounds amazing to me when i'm high, and the end result is positive feelings, then marijuana itself becomes very very "valuable" as it contributes to my well-being, and who doesn't place a high value on their well-being?

the problem with our society today =)

Wow.

I don't think it should be legalized. That's insane.

<<< Did the establishment tell you it's no good for you? >>>

Go throw rocks at me but yes, that's partly why. There's no reason for me to think that I, at mere 17 years of age, know better than what the "establishment" tells me. If there's a law there's a reason.

And if in a few decades from now it does happen to be legalized (which I really hope against), let's just hope it becomes like the tobaco-industry.

Heh...legalize it. We need something else to tax to help shrink the deficit. I'd say about the same amount we tax cigarette and triple fines for growing it without a license :P

It was originally banned because of propaganda and how much we hate Mexicans. Somehow we thought, hey if ban marquianna the Mexicans will leave! Yea, that worked quite well. Politicians are geniuses! May I also note, most other drugs were banned because of racism instead of "public concern for our health."

FYI I'm against using drugs but we need natural selectors out there. ;)

following the law just for because it's 'the law' isn't the sign of someone who can think for themselves.

Nuremberg Laws, Jim Crow Laws, Black Codes, Action T4. all those were 'laws' too...

^ excellent point...

That is true. But if something is the law, regardless of how questionable it is i.e. Nuremberg Laws, you better follow them if you want to remain on the big guy's goodside. If you don't you may have your dignity, but depending upon the situation, you may end of with nothing else for standing up to your beliefs.

....

What's scary isn't that you're not willing to stand up for rational policy - most people don't want to shake the boat. It's that you seem to have substituted subservience for rational thought altogether. The argument you keep quite passionately making is that pot(or any other activity of dubious illegality) shouldn't be legalized because it's illegal. There's no logic to that at all.

Is there even such thing as reef rehab??? I have NEVER heard of one. The only negative side effect (as long as one is not stupid enough to drive while they are totally baked) is that sometimes the appathy (with very consistent use) is over whelming and one becomes content with the most menial job/life. This is rare. Used infrequently there is nothing wrong with mj.

...however, banana made a very good point last page.

uhh... I would like to point out that a very important negative side effect is brain cell death. Now before you attack me, I will say that the amount of brain damage is dependent on the amount/frequency smoked. But no matter what, you are causing brain damage when you smoke... now it could be so insignificant that it never truly affects you... or it could be significant.

Inhaling anything (esp. 'holding it in') that is not just air (made up mostly of N, O2, etc), does effect your brain. It's a fact. And while all body cells are affected by not recieving enough oxygen for enough time, brain cells (and other cells of the nervous sys) rarely regenerate/divide after birth. So while other organs can bounce back, your brain cannot.

AND, not to mention lung damage. Marijuana is just as bad, and sometimes worse, than cigarettes. Lung cancer is a serious possibility for a regular smoker.

we see prohibition caused a large uproar, but illegalizing pot has not caused as big a uproar. so they will keep it banned

diesel I live in CA and that's a bunch of crap. You can't walk into a drugstore and buy cheap marijuana. That makes no sense. Plus, there are plenty of gangs and plenty of people getting hurt. You are illogical. Stop being so pretentious; I mean, seriously, you're on CC...you're not cool.

if you have a medical marijuana card, there are stores(called 'clubs') with set prices that function just as any other store would. yes there are gangs and people serving on the street because not everyone has a card, but if you do there is no reason to buy from someone on the street for a higher price when you can go to an established business and buy better products for less money. take the card away and allow anyone to go into buy from said store and the gangs and street dealers would have no more share of the market...

Man, I wish I had that card.....

How To Roll A Blunt Video

very very very useful information!

lazy way to roll a blunt, and brick weed...

pot is illegal because when Americans get the munchies the percentage of obesity would increase exponentially

i eat a lot whether im high or not.....
