Why should I pick Haverford?

So I got into Haverford (yay!) and am currently trying to figure out where I'm going next year...

Right now Haverford and Wellesley are my top choices.
I'm kind of considering UC Berkeley and USC (with a full tuition scholarship), but I probably won't end up staying in CA.

I'm doing an overnight visit over spring break, but until then...
Why did you choose Haverford? What makes it special/unique/awesome?
Thanks! :)

… um, bump?

What’s the spirit of Haverford? Haverford is intellectual, community-oriented, socially-aware, quirky, leadership-oriented (e.g., consensus, self-governance focus), fun, empowering, diverse, rigorous, supportive, values-oriented, committed to the whole person.

A year or so I remember one person wrote the following about the Haverford community and the Honor Code: “Every LAC tells you about their great sense of ‘community.’ But Haverford’s different, because there community isn’t just an accident; through the honor code, people are working intentionally on building a community based on personal integrity and mutual respect. That’s the kind of community I want to be part of.” I thought that post reflected the benefits and views of many students.

Here’s what Cllge Prwlr (another college website, which CC doesn’t allow you to type the name of) says about Haverford: “Most seniors look back on their Haverford education with a distinctive appreciation. It is a fondness that comes from understanding how profoundly the College has changed them. Haverford teaches its students more than just school subjects: it teaches them to lead honorable lives… Many alumni do not realize the scope of their education until years later, but the impact is almost always felt. In this way, Haverford is unique.”

It’s amazing. Hope that you enjoy your visit.

My decision was between Haverford and Wellesley but after spending the weekend at each of the schools I chose HC. I loved the environment and preferred a co-ed school. I also got into tons of other top schools but liked the LACs.
