"I find it strange how many conservatives (well...republicans) on this thread state that they wouldn't vote for Obama because he doesn't have a lot of experience."

There are other reasons why I wouldn't vote for Obama. He has lied before, saying that his father was a goat herder when in reality, he was rather successful. He also lived a privileged life as a child, although he tries to make himself out to be some sort of self-made success story. Obama has even raised some questions as to what his religion really is. He claims to not be a Muslim, despite the fact that there is evidence that he is. I think he says he is Christian so that he won't be passed over by potential voters who are insecure about putting a Muslim in the White House after 9/11. If this is true (which I think it could be), it makes me believe that Obama is just another politician who will go as far as to convert his religion just to get elected. A real strong-willed person would embrace their Muslim faith, not try and dance around it to avoid a lower approval rating.

He is also pro-AA, something that I don't agree with at all.

Oh, and he doesn't have a lot of experience.

I think Obama is a smart guy who has some new ideas that could be helpful. As I said before, I particularly like his attitude about the importance of education. I can't remember what show, but I recall him saying how the top jobs are being taken more by people from other countries than ever before, so we need to boost academic performance here in the U.S. to try and compete. I have to agree with him here. I just don't see him as the President of the United States though. Not that Bush should be, but he got elected so we have to deal with it. For the first time in 2008, I can vote and unlike past elections, I'll have a say.

I wouldn't have voted for Bush in 2000. I would have picked him in 2004 because I just don't like John Kerry.

Comedian Lewis Black said it the best with the 2004 election:

"In that election, let's face it, you had a choice between 2 bowls of s**t, the only difference was the smell."

Even being a democrat (albiet a moderate), I find myself irked with both Clinton and Obama. Giuliani is surprisingly liberal for a Republican; even if I disagree with a number of his stances, I'm more inclined towards him than not.

Sad how it isn't picking the one you like best, but the one you dislike least...

I mean, it doesn't have to be that way. I feel like the media enjoys digging up and publicizing the faults of politicians though, and so that's what we commonly see and base our decisions upon.

Any time I hear Hillary talk, she is always bashing republicans. Rather than listening to hear put down another party she should come up with some solutions to the problems, which is the hard part. In otherwords my vote is not with her at the moment. And this is coming from someone who is liberal.

I would like to add that Al Gore and John Kerry are full of ****.

First of all Al Gore is always telling us how we should donate to charity, but what do you say to his cheap millionaire ass giving only 400 dollars to charity last year. And he tries to gain propaganda with his stupid documentary about Global Warming and how we should be scared of it. People this is an earth cycle, when people didn't even exist the world was changing ohhh man there must have been a lot of SUV's 200,000 years back and if one notices the temperatures have always been surprising. And he is guaranteed to win an academy award with his documentary, which is supported by his nut loving liberal democrats. If it was a republican they wouldn't even know what his movie is about.

Oh and finally kerry, oh man this guy is retarded he was telling us how we should go to school and not ending up serving in the military service. In other words army personnel are stupid and this was clearly shown with the other retard Bill Clinton who moved all voting booths from military areas so they cant vote and same thing with all democrats including hillary, they dont recognize any servicemen at all. And nobody cant change my mind. And finally I would like to add that every time these people do something its Im sorry without any meaning. Bill Clinton's famous speech beginning with I did not have sex with that woman with his two thumbs up with semen stains on his suit. Democrats are retards, look at whats happening in NJ. You will be charged with a crime if someone breaks into your house and you attack them. And another case in which a man is trying to break into someones house going up a ladder and the ladder breaks and the man sues the house owners for a defective ladder. *** IF you ask me democrats are too loose to be leaders. Clinton making us look like wusses and getting somewhat ***** slapped and doing nothing with uss cole and 93 wtc garage bombings and somalia. Hes the reason why were in this situation today, if he had done something earlier instead of bombing cardboard tanks in bosnia and kosovo lol as reported. He put us in danger in matter of fact nobody on here might be familiar with the incident when Clinton allowed china to send a satellite up into space which might have had weaponry in exchange for 2 million dollars meanwhile everybody in the US opposed it aww man you guys don't forget you have to stop watching cnn and actually start looking up stuff.Hello people he put you me and everybody in danger for 2 million dollars and his wife is the same piece of ****. they are on republicans diks if something happens to them. Like democratic sen. Jim Webb saying theres too much white niggers on televised TV, they werent on his case.

Your political beliefs are your political beliefs, and that is something that I will not pick on.
But how ignorant you must be to doubt the urgency and irregularity of Global Warming. The truth is, a Republican who made that documentary WOULD be listened to because our world is in terrible danger of extinct species, irregular climates and habitats, globalization, destruction of major urban areas and ignoramuses like you, who can't give up your stubborn political biases for the good of our WHOLE globe.
I beg you to try to rebut to this without sounding like an arrogant, one-sided political know-nothing.

sorry votebarackobama, I need to state that the people such as Al Gore went to college in the 60's and during that time, theyre were special classes for global warming. And all these scientists at that time were thinking the same thing as him about global warming. Global Warming isn't emphasized that much these days. It is a cycle not global warming, temperatures change overtime. For example like I said the SUV's burning fuel didnt cause the last cycle. people need to realize that they are worrying about things that cant be changed.

I just recently watched the movie, and I can tell you haven't watched it if you go the ignorant route of "it's a natural cycle".

its not ignorance, its how this country is allowing these idiotic scientists and politicians to brainwash people and I laugh my ass off sometimes when I watch cnn, they were like watch out for hurricanes in 2006 oh yea, big ones they said NYC could get hit, but where the hell did these hurricanes go lol

It's called human flaw-- and by the way, every channel predicted big hurricanes even your FOX channel.
By the way, human flaw appears a lot-- your favored party learned that when they elected and re-elected Bush.

As someone who has worked on two winning political campaigns I pray that either Obama or Clinton get the nomination. A nomination of either of these two will ensure a republican victory. Clinton will not win, she turns off 100% of republicans, many women, and has this air of "snobness" about her. Obama on the other hand is a great speaker...in essence he reminds me of Bill Clinton. He's great with words in such a way that makes me feel a little uneasy, coupled with the fact that he is inexperienced and has no great political/legislative accomplishments makes me believe he will not win either. Plus, lets face it, a black, quasi-muslim won't win in 08...it may not be fair but it's the truth. As a conservative I'm praying that Edwards doesn't win the nomination, cuz if he does that'll be the next President. Traditionally democrats have lost due to their inability to win in the south and the "fly-over" states. However if you put edwards, a man from the south, on the ballot you're going to get a good turnout for the man. Just my 2 cents, but I'd guess that Clinton is nominated for the democrats, and Romney for the republicans. McCain + Guiliani = too liberal to win the republican nomination.
