<p>I'm assuming you're talking about the most recent suspension, not the one that happened a couple of months ago. This time, the Tree was not suspended by the Band, but rather prohibited from performing in the NCAA women's basketball tournament.</p>
<p>I wasn't at the game, but I was told the following by Band management (I'm summarizing):</p>
<p>The Tree was kicked out of the game for going a few feet onto the court during halftime, which he was not allowed to do. After being removed to the stadium concourse, he continued to dance, and an ESPN camera crew found him and put him on TV. Then the tournament officials decided he was "distracting from the game" (which was a complete blowout, by the way), and made him take off his costume and stand with the Band. Later, he was prohibited from traveling to regionals.</p>
