Why would a college ask for your 7th semester grades during the middle of the school year?

I applied to a college in October, and they are asking me for my 7th semester grades by February 3rd, 2017. However, if I am not wrong, I believe 7th semester grades go out to colleges at the end of the school year. So, I talked to my counselor about this and he said that 7th semester grades will be sent out automatically at the end of the school year (June), but the college I applied to is asking for them now. I am really confused and do not know what to do. So should I just send them another transcript?

By seventh semester I’m assuming you mean first semester of senor year. Colleges want to see these as soon as possible in order to gauge your senior year results.

If you do not send them you will be denied.

Many colleges ask for them – they are sometimes referred to as “mid-year reports” or “mid-year grades.”

If they want them, your GC needs to send them.

Thanks for your reply. So, my school has a transcript person, who sends all the transcripts to colleges, so should I have my GC send my transcript or the person in charge of them at my school?

^^^That is for you to figure out. Nobody here will know the inner workings of your particular HS.
