Why Yale? Character limit

Was this question optional? It didn't have the yellow dot next to it....

WOW, this totally required.
I think the secret soctty part would be insane. let them be; they do not worry you
lol
lol
lollloloolooololllolol

Oh dear. I never answered the question. Will Yale see me as an idiot who can't read and laugh my application into the garbage? What should I do?

Write one and send it in.....take the initiative, mwitiiram!! you can do it!! :)

I wrote mine about Master's tea, because it was too hard for me to fit in lots of info in 500 characters :)

Exactly as it says, what makes Yale different for you from the rest of HYPSM. Pick a topic you really liked gleaned from the info sessions or your visit and talk about what its good for you. For example I wrote about why residential college system would be a good fit for me (accepted SCEA)

i don't know which answer to use for the why question...
i wanted to say how i passed the Yale Club of NYC when i was 15 and only yale alumni are allowed to the club and i got curious...
or...
shall i say that i know this prof who graduated from Yale and he explained how yale fits me??

Thanks!! which one is better??

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
It's taken me so long to cut this **** down

i'm down to 502 characters and I don't know what else to take out

would omitting spaces between sentences and after commas be bad?

changed "and" to "&" and use as many contractions as possible. and if you mention a professor, just abbreviate it to prof.
i did all those and replaced some verbs (e.g. i changed practicing to learning) with shorter verbs. i cut mine down from 524 to 498. good luck. (:

Mine ended with "another influence was the residential colleges. I'd explain but I'm out of sp-"

haa I used the & thing and now I'm at exactly 500 char
I really love my short answers but those really ****ed me off too

^ Ha, same with me. I was trying to squeze more in- deleting a word, and then counting. Adding two, and then taking three out, then counting. :)
